“These are very difficult things to investigate on a formulaic scientific basis,” says Professor Peter Friend, Head of Transplantation at Oxford University and a consultant transplant surgeon. “But that is not assuming there is nothing in it.My personal gut feeling is we have no scientific rationale to support this, but we should also be open minded about things we can’t explain.”
